Let's try this again.
Robert Drysdale will attempt to make his Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) debut when he takes on fellow Octagon rookie Keith Berish at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 19 Finale on July 6, 2014, inside the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, on FOX Sports 1.
Tatame.com (via MMA Fighting) brought word of the match up earlier today.
Drysdale (6-0) was scheduled to make his Octagon debut at UFC 163, but a case of Staph infection put the kibosh on those plans. He was then quickly rescheduled for a throwdown at UFC 167 in "Sin City," until an out-of-competition drug test returned elevated testosterone levels.
Whoops.
Now the legendary grappler will get one more shot at UFC superstardom against fellow undefeated light heavyweight Keith Berish. The Ring of Combat (ROC) veteran has gone 5-0 since his professional mixed martial arts (MMA) debut in early 2009 with four finishes.
Train sub defense!
TUF 19 Finale will be headlined by a featherweight rematch pitting former lightweight rivals Frankie Edgar and BJ Penn against one another for the third time. In addition, new TUF champions will be crowned in the 185 and 205-pound divisions.
