UFC 175: Vitor Belfort tells Chris Weidman to 'train more,' then challenges him to a fight in Brazil

Because Brazil is the one place Belfort can still get licensed lickety-split.

Lyoto Machida has a chance to capture the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight title this Saturday night (July 5, 2014) when he fights Chris Weidman in the UFC 175 pay-per-view (PPV) main event, which goes down inside Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

But Vitor Belfort can only see the "All American."

That means "The Phenom" will be waiting for Weidman at the conclusion of this weekend's mixed martial arts (MMA) event in "Sin City," and advises him to "train more," before putting his title up for grabs later this year in -- you guessed it -- Brazil.

From his conversation with Tatame (via MMA Fighting):

"Bring Weidman. Tell him to train more. Weidman and Vitor. It's a fight for Maracana. I can only see Weidman vs. Belfort. I can only see this. I can't talk about anything else, only about my belt. It won't get in my head. Of course that I will watch the (Weidman vs. Machida) fight, but I only wait for a winner to fight me. I have no preference. I'm going after the title. I conquered this, that's what I deserve. They won't have excuses now. It's good. When I beat them, what are they going to talk about? Will they say I'm taking something from Mars?"

1-800-GO-TO-MARS.

Belfort, of course, is one of three amigos still recovering from the UFC 175 drug testing crackdown, one that pinched not only himself, but fellow middle/light heavyweight veterans Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva. "The American Gangster" was running his own personal pharmacy while "The Axe Murderer" was just plain running.

No matter.

"The Phenom" insists he's clean as a whistle (proof!) and wants to get back in action later this year on his native soil. But will it be against Weidman, or Machida? And more importantly, will they accept the challenge outside the prying eyes of a stateside athletic commission?

Decisions, decisions.
