Chael Sonnen Should Be PISSED

Something Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight Michael Bisping finds "laughable" after both fighters were popped by Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) earlier this year and forced to withdraw from their respective fights. "The Count" was defeated by "The American Gangster" -- as well as "The Phenom" -- and is convinced they were both on the gear during those losses. In any case, Sonnen must serve a two-year suspension while Belfort -- who also failed for steroids back in 2006 -- must fight Chris Weidman at UFC 181 (assuming he can make it).

Video: Belfort Will Be Waiting For You In Vegas

During today's (Weds., July 23, 2014) hearing with Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC), Vitor Belfort was granted a conditional license to fight, which will allow "The Phenom" to challenge Chris Weidman for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight title at UFC 181 on Dec. 6, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada. This, after Belfort failed a drug test back in February due to staggering levels of testosterone. Of course, his road to the championship fight against "All American" won't be a clear one, as he still has to pass every single blood and urine test that NSAC will administer from here until December. As an added stipulation, Vitor is not allowed to fight anywhere else in the world until he completes his first fight in "Sin City." Indeed, Belfort is confident that he won't hit any speed bumps, as evidenced by this message to his fans.

Replay! Watch NSAC Hearing With UFCs Silva, Sonnen

It certainly wasn't a banner day for Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and the two coaches of its The Ultimate Fighter (TUF): "Brazil 3" season, Wanderlei Silva and Chael Sonnen, who were both tripped up thanks to a random, out-of-competition drug test ahead of UFC 175. Silva dodged his Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) screening and Sonnen flunked it thanks to a cocktail of non-disclosed -- albeit prescribed -- banned substances. Both men today had the opportunity to plead their respective cases at a NSAC hearing, with Silva "owning up" to evasion (skip to 1:25) and Sonnen getting hit with a "temporary suspension" (skip to :52)... even though he is now retired. Nonetheless, the next step for both sworn enemies is a disciplinary hearing, during which fines and/or suspensions may or may not be levied.

Pic: Copy Of Vitor Belfort Drug Test Results Show Staggering Levels Of Testosterone

According to UFC President Dana White, doctors "disagree with the results of this test." Maybe the word "high" is a bit too vague for the medical community? As you can see from the photo above (click here for a hi-res version), UFC middleweight Vitor Belfort didn't just flunk his out-of-competition drug test, he downright obliterated it. Of particular concern is the free testosterone -- attributed to performance -- which was more than double the allowable limit. "The Phenom" was able to return his levels to an acceptable range after testing positive (more on that here), but you have to wonder how the Brazilian slipped through the cracks after the promotion vowed to "test the shit out of everybody." See Belfort's follow-up tests -- with dramatic fluctuations -- right here.
