"I think outside of Jon Jones, Vitor is the scariest guy in the UFC right now. Vitor's and I's paths will cross. There's two guys that for my career to be complete, I have to fight. It's Wanderlei Silva and Vitor Belfort. That's not a secret. The UFC will tell you the same thing. It has a number of times. Sooner or later that will happen, but in between now and then I'm not going to lie about what an incredible job Vitor has done, particularly in 2013."
He may be focused on his upcoming fight against Wanderlei Silva, but Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight Chael Sonnen (via Gracie Mag) hasn't forgotten about his longstanding rivalry with top middleweight contender Vitor Belfort, who is still working his way back into mixed martial arts (MMA) after going into "animal" mode. At age 37 -- and no testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) to help him through his twilight years -- Sonnen could be nearing the end of his combat sports career. If so, he wants to make sure he can look back on his body of work and feel satisfied that he was able to tie up any and all loose ends. Or perhaps in this case, loose cannons. It may not happen this year, but who would you take if and when these two ever hook 'em up?
