Floyd Mayweather is so "Money" and he knows it. The highest paid athlete in sports today, raking in a disclosed $73.5 million in 2013 for just two fights, boasted on Twitter.com this evening about his incoming haul. "Money" was guaranteed to make $31.5 million for his fight against Marcos Maidana, who took home just $1.5 million, but that figure did not include pay-per-view (PPV) points (a percentage of buys) from Showtime. It appears that figure, which is typically never revealed, is expected to reach as much as $38 million extra. Just some quick math: 70,000,000 / 36 = $1.94 million per minute. INSANE. But, par for the course, considering Mayweather reportedly raked in more than $100 million for defeating Canelo Alvaraz his last time out. Certainly well worth a lucrative rematch against "El Chino" later this year. To watch Mayweather vs. Maidana video highlights click here and for everything else click here.
