MMAmania presents 'Darce Side Radio' podcast w/ Jon Fitch, Kenny Monday and Foxsports.com's Damon Martin

USA TODAY Sports

Each week, "Darce Side Radio" podcast host Michael Stets shares his mixed martial arts (MMA) opinions on the latest hot topics, event previews (and reviews), key storylines and, of course, interviews many of the best fighters and personalities in the sport today. On this week's show, Stets is joined by Jon Fitch, Kenny Monday and Foxsports.com's Damon Martin

Episode 33 of "Darce Side Radio" delves into several topics in the MMA landscape for this week's show.

FOXSports.com's Damon Martin -- who co-hosts "Charming's Most Wanted" with Stets during the "Sons of Anarchy" season on Nerdcoremovement.com -- swings by to discuss the career-defining performance by TJ Dillashaw at UFC 173 from last weekend. In addition to that, Martin previews the recently announced match-up between Robbie Lawler and Matt Brown at UFC on FOX 12, as well as sharing his thoughts on the much anticipated final season of SOA.

Battlegrounds MMA will be putting on an eight man one-night tournament on June 27th at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma featuring Dennis Hallman, Cody Mackenzie and Chris Honeycutt, among others. The man behind the action, Kenny Monday, joined the show to break down the upcoming historic event and discuss working with the Oklahoma commission to get the welterweight tournament approved, discuss the participants and what the event could mean for MMA going forward. The two-time Olympic medalist also talked about wrestling in today's MMA.

*Note: Monday requested not to talk about his recent departure from the Blackzilian camp prior to interview

WSOF welterweight Jon Fitch finally has an opponent for WSOF 11 in July. The trilogy match up against Josh Burkman was recently announced to be part of the promotions first event on NBC and Fitch joined the show to discuss how he thinks the third fight will be much different than the second, and what match up out of Rousimar Palhares, Steve Carl, Jake Shields and Burkman, he would've preferred most.
