Coming. Up. Next.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) commentators Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan are here to pimp the upcoming UFC Fight Night 41 event, featuring a five-round middleweight headliner for its long-awaited return to Germany, as Mark Munoz battles Gegard Mousasi inside O2 World Arena in Berlin on May 31, 2014, live on Fight Pass.
That's just six days away.
Munoz (13-4) is hanging on by a thread, at least in terms of contending for the division title. He was able to bounce back from a devastating loss to Chris Weidman in July 2012 by out-muscling Tim Boetsch last summer. Unfortunately, "The Filipino Wrecking Machine" was unable to keep that momentum going and got put to sleep by light heavyweight import Lyoto Machida back in October.
At 36 years old, a loss in Berlin could send him to the back of the line for good.
That's not to suggest it has been all wine and roses for Mousasi (34-4). "The Dreamcatcher" was able to win his Octagon debut in 2013, but like Munoz before him, came up short in last February's loss to "The Dragon," which temporarily derailed his march toward the title.
Back to the drawing board.
In addition to "Munoz vs. Machida," UFC Fight Night 41 will also feature a middleweight co-main event pitting C.B. Dollaway against Francis Carmont, while Luke Barnatt and Sean Strickland hook 'em up in 185-pound action. Check out the entire fight card and line-up here.
Oh by the way, it starts at noon (because of this).
