Stanky Leg! Watch Krause Hobble Broken Varner

Jamie Varner had the Stanky Leg last night (Sat., May 24, 2014) thanks to a James Krause kick and subsequent miss-step, which appeared to either break and/or dislocate his ankle just minutes into their Lightweight match at UFC 173 from MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. "C-4" managed to finish the round -- and even score a takedown -- but it was painful to watch his ankle continue to fold underneath him uncontrollably. Varner ultimately threw in the towel the moment the round ended, signaling his third consecutive defeat inside the Octagon. It would be hard to cut him after that gutsy performance, but stranger things have -- and often do -- happen in UFC. Highlights! Watch Lawler Lash Ellenberger With TKO

Robbie Lawler lived up to his "Ruthless" nickname last night (Sat., May 24, 2014), laying a licking on a tentative Jake Ellenberger for 2.5 rounds before finally putting "Juggernaut" out of his misery with a blistering barrage that compelled a stoppage of their Welterweight fight at UFC 173. With the big win inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, Lawler bolsters his case that he is indeed the top 170-pound contender in existence today, setting up a potential No. 1 eliminator match with Matt Brown as division champion, Johny Hendricks, continues to rehabilitate after surgery to repair a torn biceps muscle. Time will tell. In the meantime, check out full Robbie Lawler vs. Jake Ellenberger fight video highlights in the player above. Henderson vs. Cormier, Round 3

Guess what Henderson did early in this round? Loaded up to fire off the right hand.

He couldn't.

Why?

Because Cormier grabbed him up, lifted him over his head, and dumped him on his back. We're basically talking about a body slam, with Cormier playing the role of Hulk Hogan and Henderson looking like some pencil-necked geek.

We know, however, that Henderson is not, in fact, a pencil-necked geek and that's what makes this so impressive.

Cormier once again used positional dominance and activity on top to dominate the rest of the way. It was a lot easier in this round because "Hendo" simply had no gas left in the tank.

By the end, Henderson was so out of it, Cormier took his back, sunk the hooks in, and locked in a rear-naked choke. Not long after, Henderson went to sleep.

Henderson vs. Cormier, Round 2

Henderson opened up in the second, swinging for that fence as he is wont to do. He connected, too, clean even, but Cormier ate that famous right hand and kept right on chugging.

Soon thereafter, Cormier took him down and assumed the position, that being side control. He briefly threatened with a submission but this is Dangerous Dan Henderson we're talking about.

You ain't submitting that dude.

Instead, Cormier simply won the battle for position. Every scramble, he looked faster. And while his punches weren't coming with enough force to earn a stoppage, the cumulative damage was inevitable.

Plus, fatigue.

The end of the round came and Cormier had dominated all throughout. Henderson would need a finish in the third if he wanted to win.

Henderson vs. Cormier, Round 1

It took less than one minute for Cormier to earn his first takedown and it was an explosive throw. Henderson wasn't so much a full grown man as a rag doll subjected to whatever the former Olympic wrestler wanted to do with him.

Slam him to the mat.

That put Cormier on top and he passed to side control while "Hendo" battled to get out of the awful position he found himself in. Here's the thing: Henderson simply couldn't maneuver underneath "DC's" considerable control.

Finally, with roughly 45 seconds left in the round, Dangerous Dan got back to his feet and loaded up the big right hand. Cormier answered with a front kick to the teeth.

Henderson, hoping to regain some control, aimed for a takedown but was stuffed.

The round ended in a stalemate up against the fence.
