Rampage Jackson fined $10,000 for shoving King Mo at Bellator 120 weigh-ins, nearly scratched from PPV for backstage blowup

That's one expensive shove.

Quinton Jackson may have come out the victor at this past weekend's (Sat., May 17, 2014) Bellator 120 pay-per-view (PPV) by defeating Muhammed Lawal in the main event of the evening (video), but "Rampage" was a big loser, too.

To the tune of $10,000.

That's the fine the Mississippi Athletic Commission (MAC) levied against the former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight kingpin for pushing "King Mo" the day before at the pre-fight weigh-ins (see it again here).

Speaking to MMA Fighting, Jon Lewis, the head of the MAC, said Jackson's actions were those of an "out of control individual to the 'nth degree."

Those actions, however, occurred backstage after the shove, as "Rampage" apparently got very heated upon learning of the fine, and proceeded to shower Lewis with plenty of F-bombs.

According to Lewis, Jackson's language and behavior toward him almost got him booted from the event altogether.

In the end, cooler heads prevailed and Quinton remained on the card as he ultimately issued an apology to Lewis and accepted the fine. One he said he felt he deserved for shoving Lawal.

"Rampage" defeated "King Mo" via highly-questionable unanimous decision at the Landers Center in Southaven, Mississippi. He also learned a very valuable lesson, too, as we likely won't see him shoving his future opponents under the Bellator banner.
