Daniel Cormier: King Mo will end Rampage Jackson's MMA career at Bellator 120

"DC," unsurprisingly, is pulling for his good friend to triumph over former UFC light heavyweight champion, Quinton Jackson, when they collide in the main event of this weekend's (May 17, 2014) Bellator 120 pay-per-view (PPV) event.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight Daniel Cormier posted this encouraging message for Muhammed Lawal on his Instagram ahead of "King Mo's" main event fight against Quinton Jackson at this weekend's (May 17, 2014) Bellator 120 pay-per-view (PPV) event.

According to "DC," Lawal is going to put an end to "Rampage's" career when the two collide in Southaven, Mississippi, in a grudge match years in the making.

"This guy insisted that I fight. This guys called me when I was at my lowest point everyday. This guy paid my mortgage when I was broke. Hes my brother and I can't wait until he competes this weekend in his 1st ppv main event. You don't meet many people like Muhammad Lawal in one lifetime and I am lucky to have this guy. Watch him put an end to rampage career. Mo you a champion my brother and good luck. You won't need it. #brother #teamthirsty #okstate #worldteam my brother. Kick his ass MO! @kingmofh"

Jackson, obviously, has other plans.

Aside from spending time training together at American Kickboxing Academy (AKA), Cormier and Lawal were roommates at Oklahoma State University (OSU) during their collegiate wrestling days.

The two talented fighters built a friendship over time, as Cormier recalls plenty of times when Lawal was there to pick him up when he was down, including being there for him after the passing of "DC's" two-month old daughter following a horrific car accident.

As both men continue their fighting careers with different organizations, they still share a strong bond and it's clear they will always have each other's backs.

Now, all "King Mo" has to do is go out and see if he can live up to his best friend's prediction.
