Video: Pros pick Jon Jones vs. Glover Teixeira main event for UFC 172 in Baltimore

The bookies are picking Jon Jones to win the UFC 172 main event, as are most fans. But what about the mixed martial arts (MMA) "pros?"

No surprises here.

As he has been since the day the fight was announced, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight titleholder Jon Jones is favored to defeat power-punching Brazilian contender Glover Teixeira in the main event of UFC 172, which takes place later this month (April 26, 2014) inside Maryland's Baltimore Arena.

That's according to his fellow "pros" (via MMA Interviews):

Urijah Faber: Jones by way of most likely-ness
Joseph Benavidez: Jones by way of rare talent
Frankie Edgar: Jones by way of pound-for-pound-ness
Raphael Dos Anjos: Teixeira by way of many chances
Beneil Dariush: Teixeira by way of knockout
Jake Ellenberger: Teixeira by way of surprise
Mike Pyle: Jones by way of finish
Erik Koch: Jones by way of range
Dennis Bermudez: Jones by way of speed
Justin Scoggins: Teixeira because Scoggs is not an asshole
Ovince St. Preux: Jones by way beastly-ness
Sean Strickland: Jones because it's an easy pick

Pros who pick Jones: 8
Pros who pick Teixeira: 4

Jones def. Teixeira by a score of 8-4

Naturally, anything can (and usually does) happen once the cage door closes, but the general consensus seems to be that barring a one-hitter quitter, Teixeira will not be able to handle the champ's winning combination of speed, range, and technique come fight night.

Anyone disagree?
