UFC President Dana White was right, Gina Carano is beautiful.
She's also under contract to Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) for another four fights, which means a return to mixed martial arts (MMA) -- something "Conviction" hinted at when she was on The Arsenio Hall show last week -- can only take place inside the Octagon.
Carano was recently back on late night television, this time with Craig Ferguson, to give more details about her potential return to combat sports.
"It's kind of being discussed right now. It's something that I always loved to do and it's such a genuine expression for me. I wouldn't say that unless I was actually thinking about making a comeback possibly. I think I just have these two different personalities. I think I might be a little bipolar. I just have this super aggressive side to me and I have this shy side to me. They're going to meet in the middle one day. I can't wait for that to happen. I've never gone into fight actually feeling at my top form. That's something I really want to experience."
She's expected to have a sit down meeting with White later this week.
Carano (7-1) hasn't seen the inside of a cage in over four years, bolting for Hollywood after a technical knockout loss to Strikeforce nemesis Cris Cyborg in late 2009. In addition, she often struggled to make the featherweight limit and has yet to compete under the UFC banner, so it's too early to tell how competitive she could be in today's landscape.
Making the oft-discussed Ronda Rousey title fight a bit of a stretch.
