Rony Mariano Bezerra will make a lightning-fast turnaround when he takes on Robbie Peralta as part of the UFC Fight Night 42 mixed martial arts (MMA) event, featuring the finale for The Ultimate Fighter (TUF): "Brazil 3," which is set for Ibirapuera Arena in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on May 31, 2014.
Bezerra (14-4) is fresh off a technical knockout win over Steven Siler in last month's UFC Fight Night 38 event in Brazil. Because "Jason" needed just 77 seconds to hack up his "Super" opponent, he's likely still fresh as a daisy, as far as wear and tear is concerned, and eager to get back inside the cage for more.
And the sooner he distances himself from his head kick knockout loss to Jeremy Stephens, the better.
Waiting to greet him will be Peralta (17-4), who had no "Problems" in his technical knockout win over Estevan Payan last December. The up-and-coming featherweight prospect has just one loss inside the Octagon -- his first since 2009 -- in the form of a unanimous decision defeat to Akira Corassani.
But the competition isn't getting any easier.
Besides the main event between TUF: "Brazil 3" coaches, Chael Sonnen vs. Wanderlei Silva, Demian Maia will try to snap a two-fight losing streak by tangling with Mike Pierce, while Paulo Thiago and Gasan Umalatov hook 'em up in welterweight action.
