Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar is back in the win column.
"The Beast Incarnate" shocked the pro wrestling world last night (April 6, 2014) by pinning The Undertaker, who prior to his WrestleMania 30 match inside the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, was a perfect 21-0 at "The Showcase of the Immortals."
Welp. he's now 21-1.
It was kind of an ugly, disjointed affair, with plenty of rest holds and a few sloppy high spots, but in the end, the 75,000+ fans were dead silent as "The Phenom" was upended after more than 20 years of dominance -- which began at WrestleMania 7 -- in WWE's biggest pay-per-view (PPV) event of the year.
So now what?
The Undertaker is pushing 50, so it would not be a surprise to see him call it a career. Then again, there is always a match against "Sting" at WrestleMania 31 next year, if fans are still interested in a streakless-Undertaker. Time will tell, I suppose.
