Bellator season 10 continues with "Minakov vs. Kongo" live from Reno Events Center in Reno, Nevada, TONIGHT (Friday, April 4, 2014) on Spike TV.
In the main event, Bellator heavyweight champion Vitaly Minakov will attempt to defend his title against season nine tournament winner Cheick Kongo.
Minakov is undefeated thus far in mixed martial arts (MMA) competition and will attempt to make his first defense of the 265-pound title since capturing it last November at Bellator 108. The former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) veteran Kongo is riding a two-fight Bellator winning streak into his bout against Minakov.
Jeremy Kimball was originally scheduled to face Dan Cramer in a middleweight tournament semifinal bout, but the match was scratched from the card when Kimball failed to make weight.
That wasn't the only last minute change to tonight's card, however, as Andrey Koreshkov was forced to pull out of a scheduled welterweight tournament semifinal clash with Sam Oropeza because the Russian is suffering from the flu.
Instead, the card will be rounded out by a middleweight feature fight pitting Johnny Cisneros against Mikkel Parlo, Volkan Oezdrmir vs. Kelly Anundson in a light heavyweight feature bout, and a welterweight battle between Herman Terrado and Justin Baesman.
