"The Queen of Spades" will have to wait a little longer to make her much anticipated Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) debut.
Shayna Baszler, who was featured on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 18 last season as Team Ronda Rousey's first pick, sustained an injury which will force her off TUF: "Nations" Finale in Quebec City, Quebec, on April 16, 2014, according to a report from Tatame (via MMA Fighting).
The former Invicta, Strikeforce and Elite XC combatant was eliminated early on in the show, losing to eventual winner Julianna Pena in the very first fight of the season.
Her scheduled opponent, Sarah Kaufman, has now found a new foe.
Brazilian slugger Amanda Nunes will step up to the plate, covering for Baszler, which means her fight against Alexis Dufresne at UFC on FOX 11 has been scrapped. Both Nunes and Kaufman are Strikeforce veterans, meeting for the first time in their careers.
Nunes is currently on a 2-0 winning streak under UFC's banner, while Kaufman is still chasing her first UFC victory. No word yet on whether or not Dufresne will receive a new opponent for the Orlando FOX card.
