UFC 172 results recap: Jon Jones vs. Glover Teixeira event wrap up

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

Let's wrap up the big event from this past weekend, shall we?

UFC 172: "Jones vs. Teixeira" blew the roof off the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland, on Sat., April 26, 2014,featuring a main event of Jon Jones easily disposing of the latest challenger to his 205-pound title, Glover Teixeira, via unanimous decision (watch the highlights here, breakdown here).

It's finally time for that rematch with Alexander Gustafsson.

The co-headlining attraction showcased Anthony Johnson's successful return to the Octagon, as he battered and bruised Phil Davis for three full rounds (highlights can be viewed here, breakdown here), establishing himself as a player in the light heavyweight division. Or something like one.

The other three main card bouts saw Luke Rockhold dominate Tim Boetsch (highlights if you want them here, breakdown here) on his way to a first round submission win, Jim Miller do exactly the same to Yancy Medeiros (highlights for your viewing pleasure here, breakdown here), and Max Holloway take two rounds longer to tap Andre Fili (read the breakdown here).

In cased you missed any or all of it -- or just want to keep the discussion alive -- below are links to all the major storylines borne from Saturday's event in Dallas.
