"PEDs have been cleaned up in the UFC. What people don't realize is that the rule used to be that when commissions would test athletes they'd do the main event, and they'd have a couple of random tests. We've been testing everybody on the cards. Everybody's been getting tested. It's been a long time since somebody had tested positive for PEDs. The TRT thing was a nightmare for me and thank God the commission got rid of it."
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White was a recent guest on ESPN: "SportsNation" (via Bloody Elbow) to hype up this Saturday's (April 26, 2014) UFC 172: "Jones vs. Teixeira" pay-per-view (PPV) event (more on that here). In addition to selling the championship title fight between Jon Jones and Glover Teixeira, White also declared that performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) have been "cleaned up" in the post-testosterone UFC, thanks to increased testing by the promotion, which goes above and beyond that of the local athletic commissions. That's why we haven't seen fighters popped for PEDs in "a long time," according to White, so I guess Georges St. Pierre will have nothing to complain about after he gets his knee fixed, right? Now, if we can just do something about that green stuff...
