Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently announced a bantamweight match up featuring Iuri Alcantara vs. Vaughan Lee for its UFC Fight Night 41 event inside the O2 World Arena in Berlin, Germany, scheduled for May 31, 2014, live on Fight Pass.
Yes, that's the same day as The Ultimate Fighter (TUF): "Brazil 3" live finale (see that fight card here).
After getting knocked around by Urijah Faber last August, Alcantara (29-5) got back into the win column by taking a split decision victory over Wilson Reis at the UFC Fight Night 36 event back in February. "Marajo" is 4-2 (1 NC) since transitioning over from WEC in early 2012.
Lee (14-9) is also back in the win column thanks to a unanimous decision victory over Nam Phan in The Ultimate Fighter (TUF): "China" live Finale last March. Prior to his big win in "Macao," the budding Brit was armbarred by Raphael Assuncao in Brazil.
Should be interesting.
In addition to the headliner between Mark Munoz and Gegard Mousasi, UFC Fight Night 41 is also expected to feature a middleweight match up pitting Luke Barnatt against Sean Strickland, as well as CB Dollaway vs. Francis Carmont, while Pawel Pawlak and Peter Sobotta hook 'em up in welterweight action.
