Miesha Tate defeated Liz Carmouche in the co-main event of UFC on Fox 11: "Werdum vs. Browne" last night (Sat., April 19, 2014) at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida, earning a unanimous decision victory in a hard fought battle. She started slow, going down on the scorecards after letting "Girlrilla" completely control the action in the first. The second was far closer, with Carmouche grappling her way to superior position but Tate landing some punches along the way and throwing submission attempts when she could. The third and final round was the most decisive, as "Cupcake" shed her tentativeness and went for broke before the final horn. It paid off, too, as she completely dominated. You might question the scoring in the second frame, but by the end it certainly seemed as though the judges had made the ring decision. Or maybe we needed another couple rounds to settle things up.
