Donald Cerrone ate about 30 wild punches from Edson Barboza last night (Sat., April 19, 2014) at UFC on FOX 11 from Amway Center in Orlando, Fla., before "Cowboy" kicked back with a ferocious ... jab? That's right, Cerrone dropped the Brazilian with a straight left, and rather than swarm him with overzealous inaccurate punches, the fight night bonus king (he got PAID once again) intelligently opted for a rear-naked choke that forced the first round tap. Weird! Dana White Reacts To UFC On FOX 11

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White was satisfied with the "Werdum vs. Browne" event last night (Sat., April 19, 2014) at Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. It was a star-studded show that featured a pivotal Heavyweight match between Fabricio Werdum vs. Travis Browne (watch video highlights here). Overall, White was impressed with Werdum, but felt the Brazilian could have done more to finish the listless Hawaiian. He also scored the co-main event between Miesha Tate vs. Liz Carmouche (watch video highlights here) in favor of "Girl-Rilla" and raved about the come-from-behind, fight-finishing submission that Donald "Show Starter" Cerrone slapped on Edson Barboza. All that and more in the video interview above, including whether or not White plans to book a celebrity fight between Shaquille O'Neal vs. Jose Canseco. Seriously.

Werdum vs. Browne, Round 5

Werdum earned a takedown to start the round. Browne got back to his feet quickly, however, and started in on the front kicks. He knocked Alistair Overeem out with one, why not push one here?

Werdum had the energy to avoid everything Browne was offering, though. Not only that, he was answering back with a few punches of his own.

Jab.

Jab.

Back away.

Circle.

Jab.

Not very exciting, but incredibly effective considering the situation. Werdum was minimizing risk while scoring points. Browne's face showed the wear of the shots Fabricio had unloaded on him throughout the bout.

"Hapa" threw a low kick and almost collapsed underneath his own weight. With 90 seconds remaining, he was all but finished.

The round closed with little meaningful action and the decision was clear.

Werdum vs. Browne, Round 4

Browne looked a little fresher to start the fourth but not by much. Werdum was hanging back and jumping in with occasional punches. They were both moving so slow at this point, Browne due to fatigue and Werdum deliberately.

They got a break in the action when Browne landed a front kick to the cup and the Brazilian took his time recovering.

Once they reset in the center, Browne had a second wind and was unleashing punches with zest. He also worked some low leg kicks, though they weren't doing much good.

An overhand right looked good, though.

So did a couple high kicks, though both failed to connect clean.

Werdum came in with a combination but couldn't get home, even falling down in the process. Browne was too far back and too pressed for oxygen to rush in to capitalize.

On to round five.

Werdum vs. Browne, Round 3

Browne came out with his big haymakers and the commentary team reminded us that a big punch could still end this because we're dealing with two big men who hit hard.

Werdum, however, fired off combinations that stunned the American and had him befuddled. He was fresh as could be, enough so that when he ended up on his back, he got to his feet by kipping up.

Seriously.

He was just having fun now, and a clinch led to another furious salvo. Browne's response was to stand in place against the fence and just cover his head a la Tito Ortiz when Chuck Liddell came in on him.

This was a beating.

Browne would move out and throw punches but they were slow, telegraphed, and didn't appear to have much behind them. He was bleeding from his nose and looking dazed. Werdum slowed down, likely because this was scheduled to go five rounds.

With 10 seconds left in the round, Werdum fired off a combination that included two punches and a hard kick to the head. Browne just wouldn't go down.

On to round four.

Werdum vs. Browne, Round 2

The replay before the round started showed Werdum had hurt Browne and, if nothing else, had worn him down. He opened this round firing leg kicks, one of which landed near the jewels.

The two started exchanging punches and kicks, including Browne throwing high and slapping against Fabricio's arm. It was well defended but still knocked the Brazilian off center.

Werdum then decided to shoot in and, for the second time in the fight, earned a takedown. From there, he worked to pass and it wasn't long until he was in side control.

Browne, quite frankly, looked lost on his back against one of the best heavyweight submission fighters in history.

Amazingly enough, though, he escaped and got back to his feet. He looked utterly exhausted, however, and his punches appeared to lack the same snap as the first round. Werdum eased up, presumably to allow Browne to wear himself out even more with the punches he was throwing.

The round ended with Werdum landing a knee to the body.

Werdum vs. Browne, Round 1

Werdum had the timing down early, responding to a leg kick with a fast combination. Browne backed off and when he came back in, he went high.

The Brazilian came in hard again but Browne was the one who found success with hard shots. In fact, he landed a big enough punch that Werdum went down and "Hapa" just started unloading. Werdum looked close to going out at any moment but he stayed fighting for position and eventually he reestablished himself.

Then he got up and took Browne down!

He wasn't able to do anything from top position, however, and the American got back to his feet and went about throwing those big bombs he calls hands. Werdum came back with a body kick and Browne slapped his stomach to encourage another.

Tsk tsk.

Browne got crazy and landed a wheel kick that Werdum ate and kept coming forward. They traded punches right after. Fabricio followed up with a spinning back kick, then another, then a big punch that looked to hurt Browne.

Sadly, the round ended.
