Pic: Georges St. Pierre 'feels good' after having bandages removed from puffy knee

It's hard to see the previously-dominant "Rush" looking so vulnerable.

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre tore the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee last month while wrestling, forcing him to go under the knife and endure several months on the sidelines.

Phase one of his recovery is now complete.

St. Pierre "feels good" after releasing a picture of his puffy knee on Twitter. The self-described "bionic" man insists his latest surgery will have no affect on whether or not he returns to mixed martial arts (MMA), but it's hard not to wonder what kind of impact he can have at age 33 after now having major surgery on both knees.

Time will tell.

In the meantime, the division rolls on. Current champion Johny Hendricks -- also on the sidelines due to injury -- awaits the winner of Rory MacDonald vs. Tyron Woodley at UFC 174, while Hector Lombard lurks quietly in the background.
