Chael Sonnen was bleeding, Andre Dida got kicked off the show and Wanderlei Silva was smiling.
Just another day at the office for the cast and crew of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF): "Brazil 3," which features Sonnen and Silva as head coaches, charged with leading two teams of Brazilian up-and-coming mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters to the promised land.
"The Axe Murderer" starts threatening "The American Gangster" prior to the weigh in event on episode six, personal space is violated, hands are thrown, takedowns are executed and before you know it, we have a full blown melee on our hands. While some fans insist the fix was in -- to help sell Fight Pass subscriptions -- it looked pretty real to me.
Street fights are sloppy, artless affairs.
Now that filming has wrapped on the latest version of the international combat sports reality show, Silva and Sonnen will hook 'em up at the UFC 175 event (we think) over Fourth of July Weekend. Anyone expect their grudge match to play out any differently than the one we see above?
