MMAmania.com just returned from Istanbul, Turkey, and spoke to Tyrone Spong at JKF Airport, who was also coming back home after suffering a devastating leg injury against Gokhan Saki at GLORY 15.

Tyrone Spong returned to the United States on Sunday afternoon (April 13, 2014), less than a day after suffering a horrific leg injury against Gokhan Saki during their GLORY 15 light heavyweight tournament final.

"The King of the Ring" was in a wheelchair, sporting a cast, and being pushed by close friend and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight Rashad Evans.

Spong has been dealing with a lot in his life over the last few months with the loss of two loved ones: his uncle, and his close friend Tarik El Adrissi, who were both murdered. Now he will have to recover from a major injury to his leg and the Dutch-Surinamese fighter was obviously not his usual self, but he gave the thumbs up and shared a few thoughts.

"I'm bummed," he told MMAmania.com. "I lost my belt."
