"I was hittin' him as hard as I could, but ... whatever, I don't really care what anyone else says. I went out there and tried to do what I do. Hendricks hits pretty hard but I think I did a good job of not lettin' anything land too solid."
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight contender Matt Brown had a lot to say after the UFC 171 pay-per-view (PPV) event last month in Dallas, Texas, where four of the world's best welterweights -- including Robbie Lawler -- threw down for a spot in the 170-pound pecking order. Unfortunately, "Ruthless" came up short in his bid to upset Johny Hendricks and capture the crown, in a performance (watch it) that Brown likened to a game of "patty cake." In addition, the "Immortal" one, who will test his might against Erick Silva next month in Cincinnati, Ohio, believes he puts on much better performances than anyone who competed in "The Lone Star State." Lawler's response? "Whatever!" What's yours?
