Here is another Who Should Fight Who.
Kim should fight The Winner of Lombard vs Shields - Reason: Dong Hyun Kim has become a different fighter. He used to be one of the best grinders in the game but lately hes just been knocking motherfuckers out. Hes said that he is going to be more aggressive in order to get a title shot, he knows if he wants to get a title shot and become a star he needs to be exciting and man has he been exciting. He was swinging like a fucking madman in the Hathaway fight. He was ultra aggressive and he was landing bombs over and over on Hathaway. He hurt him many times before he ultimately knocked him out with a spinning fucking elbow in the third round. Holy fucking shit it was amazing. I've never seen someone knock someone out with a spinning elbow like that. It was devastating, Hathaway dropped like he got shot. That was Kim's best performance of his career in my opinion. He was exciting and he absolutely destroyed a very tough opponent in John Hathaway. It was a fantastic performance and I can't wait to see his next fight. I'd like to see him fight The Winner of Hector Lombard vs Jake Shields next. This fight makes a lot of sense ranking wise, whether Kim fights Lombard or Shields it doesn't matter I think it'd be a great fight. Kim could also fight The Winner of Ellenberger vs Saffiedine or The Winner of Story vs Gastelum.
Hathaway should fight Lim - Reason: John Hathaway hasn't fought since 2012. He has been battling with Crohn's disease, This was his first fight in about 18 months and what a fight it was. His first fight back was against the very hot Dong Hyun Kim and he went to fucking war. Kim hurt him several times in the first round but Hathaway battled back and looked pretty good in the second round. Then in the third round Hathaway threw an elbow and Kim threw an elbow of his own and Hathaway went night night. Kim hit him with a vicious spinning elbow, it would have knocked out pretty much anyone at 170 lbs. I expect Hathaway to want to get right back in the cage after the long layoff. I think he'll be very fired up and motivated from this KO loss and I think his next fight will be another great one. I'd like to see him face Hyun Gyu Lim next. I want to see him face another Korean Monster and I think it'd be a fantastic fight. This fight makes a lot of sense to me ranking wise and stylistically. Hathaway could also fight Court McGee or Robert Whittaker.
Zhang should fight Wang - Reason: Li Peng Zhang got a gift decision victory. He lost that fight but two brain dead judges gave him the fight. Fucking morons, you can't escape them, they're everywhere. Zhang did an alright job but I thought he lost and most people thought he lost. For his next fight I'd like to see him face Anying Wang. This fight makes a lot of sense and they both won on the same card so I can see this fight happening. Zhang could also fight Neil Magny or Zak Cummings.
Sai should fight Rhodes - Reason: Wang Sai looked good in that fight. It was a close fight but I thought he won but he got fucked by the judges. Everyone knows who won that fight including the powers that be at the UFC so Sai's 100% safe. He won't be getting cut. I'd like to see him fight Mike Rhodes next. This fight makes sense to me ranking wise and I think it'd be a great fight. Sai could also fight Luiz Dutra Jr. or Viscardi Andrade.
Mitrione should fight Duffee - Reason: Matt Mitrione looked fantastic. He was winning the first round, landed some nice shots and with about fifteen seconds left in the round he hurt Jordan and then just fucking swarmed on him. It was crazy, he lit Jordan up and knocked him out with about one second left in the round. It was very impressive. Mitrione looked good, his striking looked sharp and he looked pretty fast in there. I'd like to see him face Todd Duffee next. This would be an absolute BANGFEFT and someone would be getting knocked out. The fight makes sense ranking wise and stylistically. I hope it happens. Mitrione could also fight The Winner of Rosholt vs Omielanczuk or Ben Rothwell.
Jordan should fight Harris - Reason: Shawn Jordan just got knocked the fuck out, hes been knocked out in back to back fights now. I've seen many Heavyweights get knocked out over and over and still have successful careers in the Octagon so I'm not writing Jordan off just yet, he can still have a good career but he desperately needs to win his next fight. I'd like to see him face Walter Harris next. This fight makes a lot of sense to me both ranking wise and stylistically. I think this would be a great fight and I think someone would be getting knocked out. Jordan could also fight Brandon Vera or The Winner of Lewis vs May.
Hioki should fight Niinimaki - Reason: Most Asian fighters struggle when they travel West, something about the trip makes them look like lesser fighters. I don't know why this happens but it does and Hatsu Hioki is no exception to this phenomenon. So whenever he fights in Asia you're usually going to see him dominate someone. This time that didn't happen but it wasn't due to lack of effort or skill from Hioki rather it was because of the skill and effort shown by Ivan Menjivar. Menjivar needed to win this fight and he gave it all he had. He made the fight a lot closer than I thought it would end up being. Hioki out grappled Menjivar for most of the fight which was no shock to anyone but he got caught in the third round and was dropped. First time I've seen that happen to him inside the Octagon. All in all it was a solid performance and I hope to see him get a good streak going. I'd like to see Hioki fight Tom Niinimaki next. I like this fight a lot, it makes sense to me ranking wise and stylistically. Niinimaki dominated Rani Yahya in his last fight who is an amazing grappler so I'm very intrigued to see how he will do against someone like Hatsu Hioki. I think it'd be a great fight and I hope it happens. that could also fight Conor McGregor or Charles Oliveira.
Ivan Menjivar will probably be cut. He has lost four out of his last five fights. I don't want to see Ivan cut, I'm a fan of his but I really don't see how he doesn't get cut. If he does get cut I think he'll sign with a mid level Organization and I figure he'll win a few fights and be back in the UFC in about a year.
Nam should fight Patrick - Reason: Yui Chul Nam is now one of my favorite fighters. I had not seen him fight before the TUF China Finale but I had heard and read good things for a long time. I didn't know what to expect but I was hearing that he'd come out and be very aggressive and those weren't lies. This motherfucker came out blasting, homeboy's crazy as shit and I love it. He came out swinging for the fences and dropped Tokudome like three or four times in the first round. Just a crazy ass whooping for five minutes it was some wild shit. Then he tired and Tokudome pinned him down for most of the second round but in the third round Nam still had enough energy to win the third round and get his hand raised. I thought it was pretty clear that Nam won, I had it 29-27 Nam. I hate split decisions and I really hate retarded judges. I'd really like to see Nam drop down to 145 lbs, I think hes a bit small for the division but I don't see him dropping down just yet so I'd like to see him fight Alan Patrick next. This fight makes sense to me ranking wise. I think it'd be a fun fight, I think it'd be similar to the Tokudome fight. Hope it happens. Nam could also fight Elias Silverio or Rashid Magomedov.
Tokudome should fight Cedeno - Reason: Kazuki Tokudome is one tough man. He was hurt many times in that first round but he never quit, he kept on fighting and he almost won the fight, one of the judges thought he won. It was a great fight and I don't think this loss hurts Tokudome at all. This fight has raised his stock in my opinion. I'm looking forward to his next fight, I never used to care about his fights but now I do. I'd like to see him face Yosdenis Cedeno next. I like this fight a lot, it makes sense to me ranking wise and I think it'd be a good scrap. Tokudome could also fight Charlie Brenneman or Adriano Martins.
Lee should fight Viana - Reason: Vaughan Lee looked fucking awesome in that fight. That was by far the best Vaughan Lee we've seen inside the Octagon so far. He was extremely confident with his hands down, his striking, movement and speed was very impressive. He made Nam Phan look like a fucking scrub in there and I hope he looks that good in his next fight. Lee said before that fight that he was thinking about dropping down to 125 lbs but I don't think he'll do that just yet. I think he'll take one more fight at 135 lbs and if he does then I'd like to see him face Hugo Viana next. I love this fight, it makes sense ranking wise and stylistically. I think this would be a back and forth war. Lee could also fight Lucas Martins or Chico Camus.
Nam Phan should be cut. He has lost four out of his last five fights and he hasn't looked very good in most of those losses. I'm sure he'll be very successful outside the UFC, I don't expect him to sign with any big Organization like WSOF or Bellator. If he gets cut I figure he'll sign with a low-mid level Org and smash a few cans before returning to the Octagon.
Wang should fight Zhang - Reason: Anying Wang looked good. His striking looked crisp, he landed some great kicks and I think he broke his opponent's orbital bone. I'd like to see Wang fight Li Pang Zhang next. I like this fight, it makes sense ranking wise and they both won on the same card so I can definitely see this one getting booked. Wang could also fight Neil Magny or Zak Cummings.
Cheng should fight Zeferino - Reason: Albert Cheng got his ass kicked but I think he'll get another fight in the UFC. I'd like to see him face Joao Zeferino next. This fight makes sense to me and I can see it happening. Cheng could also fight Luiz Dutra Jr. or Viscardi Andrade.
Eddiva should fight Peralta - Reason: Mark Eddiva kicked the shit out of Tuerxun Jumabeike for fifteen minutes. It was really something, I was shocked. I'm pretty sure most of us were shocked. Jumabeike had a good amount of hype going into this fight and he just looked like garbage and got his ass kicked for the entire fight. Eddiva looked awesome, he dominated and I'm really looking forward to his next fight. I'd like to see him face Robbie Peralta next. I like this fight a lot, it makes sense ranking wise and stylistically. I think this would be a great stand up fight or as some of us like to call it a fucking BANGFEST! I think it'd be a very fun fight. Eddiva could also fight Zubaira Tukhugov or Edimilson Souza.
Jumabieke should fight Galera - Reason: Tuerxun Jumabieke looked like absolute shit. He got the piss beaten out of him for fifteen minutes and he looked like a guy who didn't belong in the Octagon. One thing I will say though is that Jumabieke is really a Bantamweight so perhaps Eddiva's size advantage played a big part in Jumabieke's terrible performance. So I don't think he'll get cut, I think he'll get another fight in the UFC and I'd like to see him drop down to 135 lbs where he normally fights. I'd like to see him face Dave Galera next. This fight makes a lot of sense to me ranking wise and I think it'd be a good fight. Jumabieke could also fight Leandro Issa or Cody Gibson.
