Latest UFC rankings/MMA rankings (welterweight), Feb. 2014

Sarah Glenn

The SB Nation crew has tallied the votes and come up with the 10 best welterweight fighters in mixed martial arts (MMA) to close out the month of Feb. 2014. Have a look.

Take a good look at this list, fight fans, as it's about to get a dramatic makeover.

The SB Nation rankings panel -- compiled by MMA Mania, MMA Fighting and Bloody Elbow -- recently reshuffled its list of top 170-pound MMA fighters for UFC and beyond to close out the month of February. Unfortunately, the polls closed before Dong Hyun Kim annihilated John Hathaway in Macau (see it again here).

"Stun Gun" is now 19-2 overall and has won four straight including two back-to-back knockouts.

Expect to see him in the next round of rankings, which will undoubtedly undergo a facelift after UFC 171 later this month (fight card). That's where Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler will go to war, as will Jake Shields and Hector Lombard, which means the top five is up for grabs.

Have a look:

1. Johny Hendricks
2. Carlos Condit
3. Robbie Lawler
4. Rory MacDonald
5. Jake Ellenberger
6. Jake Shields
7. Demian Maia
8. Matt Brown
9. Tarec Saffiedine
10. Ben Askren
