Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre is paying close attention to what has been going on in the promotion's 170-pound division, particularly with the UFC 171 pay-per-view (PPV) event last Saturday night (March 15, 2014) in Dallas, Texas (results).
The day may come when he has to fight one of those men.
And by "those men," I'm of course referring to the big winners at "Hendricks vs. Lawler," which includes Johny Hendricks, Tyron Woodley, and Hector Lombard. "Bigg Rigg" took over as welterweight king after the smoke cleared in "Big D" (watch it go down here), but who knows how the rest of the year will play out in terms of matchmaking.
When in doubt, ask Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The actor and former bodybuilder hosted a private viewing of UFC 171 and the featured guest was none other than "Rush" himself (via Twitter), who first met the ex-Terminator at the UFC 167 event last November in Las Vegas, Nevada (video). In fact, St. Pierre was so starstruck, he dropped to his knees for the Austrian oak.
See the pic right here for proof.
St. Pierre is coming back to mixed martial arts (MMA) and that's a fact (according to this man). We don't know when or against who, but it sure would be fun to see Arnie walking him to the Octagon, assuming he can do so without putting his hand on his hip like he's posing for Teen Vogue.
