Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight Robbie Lawler will try to defeat Johny Hendricks for the vacant 170-pound title at the upcoming UFC 171: "Hendricks vs. Lawler" pay-per-view (PPV) event, which takes place on March 15, 2014 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
More on that fight here.
Win or lose, Lawler moves on to star as one of the top fighters in the new EA Sports UFC video game (preview here), which took a look at his "Ruthless" abilities before breaking down his mixed martial arts (MMA) skill set ahead of this weekend's title fight.
Here's the official scouting report from EA Sports:

Fights Out Of: Coconut Creek, FL, USA
Height: 5'10" (180 cm)
Weight: 170 lbs (77 kg)

With a skill-set divided down the middle between striking and takedowns, it's little wonder that 18 of "Ruthless" Robbie Lawler's 22 career wins have come by way of knockout. Back in the UFC after a stint in Strikeforce, Lawler immediately began working his way back up the welterweight ladder and into the division's top tier with three consecutive victories, including wins over Josh Koscheck and Rory MacDonald. The three fight win-streak earned him a bout with Johny Hendricks for the vacated welterweight title.
Lawler (22-9) finds himself an unlikely contender thanks to a late-career resurgence. Since returning to the Octagon last February, "Ruthless" has recorded three consecutive wins with two brutal knockouts. One more and he completes his Cinderella story.
Just in time to get that belt added to his digital doppelganger.
