Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight Champion, Anderson Silva, has come a long way since shattering his shin inside the Octagon against Chris Weidman little more than one month ago at UFC 168.
Most people would still be in bed popping Vicodin and drinking vodka, but "The Spider" is already back in the gym -- standing on two legs -- beginning his long road to mixed martial arts (MMA) recovery.
Perhaps company president Dana White -- who predicted Silva would be "off crutches in 30 days" -- was onto something when he suggested Silva could be back in the cage before 2014 expires. Then again, the Brazilian, 38, certainly runs the risk of injuring himself further if, for whatever reason, he attempts to rush back too soon.
Regardless of his eventual return, it will certainly be interesting to see if he remains the same deadly striker ... and not a mental mess.
