Video: Georges St-Pierre and Jon Jones have incredibly awkward encounter at New York City night club

Awkwaaaaaard!

You know that awkward moment when you run into someone, but want to avoid having to say hello?

It seems that Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion Jon Jones was stuck in that situation this past weekend (Feb. 2, 2014) in New York City.

Thanks to the always-present cameras of TMZ, "Bones" was semi-forced to acknowledge former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre at a nightclub. And judging by the face "Bones" made, it didn't look like he was too eager to exchange pleasantries with "Rush."

Or maybe Jones simply didn't want to be noticed by anyone at all. Thanks a lot, camera man.

Nevertheless, the former Jackson-Winkeljohn MMA stablemates ultimately walked into a nightclub together to party the night away after Super Bowl 48, which took place in East Rutherford, New Jersey, the same weekend the promotion was in town for UFC 169: "Barao vs. Faber 2."

Catch the Super Bowl highlights here.

What say you Maniacs, was "Bones" trying to duck "Rush?" Or was Jones simply goofing around?
