Don't bother with the punchlines.
That's because former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight Leonard Garcia has won three straight fights under the Legacy Fighting Championship (Legacy FC) banner -- all three of them finishes -- and captured the 145-pound title in the process.
Garcia (18-11) will put said title on the line when he returns for the Legacy FC 29 main event against Shane Howell (13-7), which takes place at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma, live on AXS TV on March 21, 2014, according to a report from MMA Fighting.
When "Bad Boy" knocked out Kevin Aguilar to claim the crown, he snapped a five-fight losing streak, one that earned him his UFC pink slip and sent him back to the regional circuit. Undaunted, Garcia roared back to win his next three contests and could, conceivable, work his way back to the Octagon in the near future.
He just has to keep winning.
Here is the current Legacy FC 29 fight card and line up, which also features former UFC fighters Jonathan Brookins and Paul Buentello.
