Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) -- after years of flirting with the idea of holding a live mixed martial arts (MMA) event in Mexico -- finally pulled the trigger for The Ultimate Fighter (TUF): "Latin America," which will hold its live season finale this November in Mexico City.
UFC announced the booking on Friday.
The groundbreaking new season of TUF will actually film this spring in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the next international version of the combat sports reality show features up-and-coming fighters from nearly 20 countries in and across Latin America (more details here).
Coaches have yet to be revealed.
TUF: "Latin America" live finale -- much like its weekly episodes during its initial run -- will air on the UFC Network (via Televisa), the 24-hour subscription-based channel that covers the entire region (with the exception of Brazil). Stateside fans will likely be able to watch it online via Fight Pass.
Expect more details on this upcoming event to be revealed in the coming weeks.
