Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) veteran Danny Castillo looks to get back into the win column when he battles fellow hot-and-cold lightweight Isaac Vallie-Flagg at the upcoming UFC 172 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which takes place on April 26, 2014 inside Maryland's Baltimore Arena.
UFC announced the booking earlier today.
Castillo (16-6) was finally able to regain some momentum inside the Octagon in early 2013, securing consecutive wins over Paul Sass and Tim Means on a pair of FOX-branded fight cards. Unfortunately, Edson Barboza spoiled the progress with a majority decision victory last December.

Vallie-Flagg (14-4) also saw his winning streak halted when Elias Silverio out-pointed him at the UFC Fight Night 35 event last month in Duluth, Georgia. The loss to "Xuxu" ended a run of 12 straight fights without a loss and added a sense of urgency to the 35-year-old lightweight's combat sports career.
As far as title runs are concerned, it's now or never.
UFC 172 will feature the return of 205-pound champion Jon Jones, as he attempts to defend his light heavyweight strap against Glover Teixeira. Elsewhere on the card, Anthony Johnson will emerge from the regional circuit to scrap with Phil Davis, while Luke Rockhold tries to make it two in a row opposite Tim Boetsch.
