Jose Aldo is still the featherweight champion of the world after soundly defeating Ricardo Lamas via unanimous decision in the co-main event of last night's (Sat., Feb. 1, 2014) UFC 169: "Barao vs. Faber 2" pay-per-view (PPV) at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The Brazilian has been so successful at 145-pounds, both during his time under the WEC banner and fighting inside the Octagon, that promotion President Dana White is now openly flirting with the idea of booking Aldo in a superfight against Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis. "Scarface" would drop the featherweight title before doing so, leaving contenders like Lamas to battle it out with the Cub Swanson's of the world. Based on his methodical but brilliant performance here, Aldo should do just fine 10 pounds heavier. Right?
