Pic: Anderson Silva 'back' to grappling in new photo of 'Spider' recovery from leg injury

Stay tuned next week as Anderson Silva posts a skydiving selfie, followed by a photo of him rescuing homeless kittens from an abandoned building, in the dark, while it's on fire, in Central Sarajevo, wearing nothing but a rash guard and ankle socks.

Less than two months after having his leg snapped in half, former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva is back on the mats, throwing caution to the wind and grappling with a token training partner.

Eeese normal.

Conveniently, there's a big Swoosh symbol above him with the "Just do it" slogan from Nike, one of his official sponsors. The caption in his latest tweet, "Estou voltando" translates to "I'm coming back," so this may have been an older photo used to represent the goal he's attempting to reach by the end of the year.

Especially considering he was still using crutches as recently as last week, even with the progress he's already made on the treadmill.

Nevertheless, Silva (33-6) appears determined to get back into the Octagon to erase the memories of two painful losses to Chris Weidman, the latter of which resulted in his injured leg. While no official timetable has been established for his return, early estimates indicate it could be as early as December.

Time (and more photos) will tell
