Throw two more logs on the fire.
A pair of mixed martial arts (MMA) veterans with experience under the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) banner have joined the fight against ZUFFA, as veteran welterweight Dennis Hallman, along with inactive featherweight Javier Vazquez, have thrown their names into the antitrust hat.
From Bloody Elbow:
The fighters named are asking to be representatives for their class in lawsuit that accuses the UFC of an
"overarching anticompetitive scheme to maintain and enhance its (a) monopoly power in the market for promotion of live Elite Professional mixed martial arts ("MMA") bouts,1 and (b) monopsony power in the market for live Elite Professional MMA Fighter services"
They are also represented by the same legal counsel that are representing Le, Quarry, and Fitch.
Hallman (53-16-2, 1 NC) was last seen inside the Octagon at UFC 140 back in late 2011. "Superman" is still competing on the regional circuit, but is mired in an 0-2 slump, getting stopped by Michail Tsarev last month in Russia. Vazquez (16-5), meanwhile, has been dormant for over three years.
