Titan Fighting Championship (Titan FC) is bringing a familiar face to the CBS Sports Network.
Not long after parting ways with Bellator MMA, former lightweight and welterweight title contender Rick Hawn has inked a four-fight deal with Titan FC, beginning with his promotion debut on Dec. 19, 2014 inside the Tsonga Center in Lowell, Mass., against an opponent to be named.
"Rick is one of the premier fighters available anywhere," Titan FC CEO Jeff Aronson told MMA Fighting. "Titan views this as a massive signing. What a way to finish out 2014."
Hawn (18-4), a decorated judoka who competed at the 2004 Olympics, won a pair of championship tournaments on Spike TV, but was unable to parlay those wins into Bellator gold. The promotion sent him packing earlier this year after dropping back-to-back fights.
Titan FC 32 will be headlined by a heavyweight title fight pitting Dave Herman against fellow UFC castoff Jon Madsen.
