Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returns to Cotai Arena at The Venetian in Macau, China, on March 1, 2014, with "The Ultimate Fighter (TUF): "China" Finale, headlined by Welterweights Dong Hyun Kim and John Hathaway.
Kim is riding a three-fight win streak, including a stunning knockout of Erick Silva in his last outing that earned him "Knockout of the Night" honors. The knockout was shocking as Silva appeared to be on his way to his own knockout victory after blitzing "Stun Gun."
Hathaway is on his own three-fight win streak, though it has been against a lower level of competition. He was last seen at UFC on Fuel TV 5, earning a unanimous decision against a very game John Maguire. Since that bout he's been on the sideline with some nagging injuries.
With the 170-pound landscape in a state of flux, a win for either man could vault them into title contention. Kim has definitely put together a strong resume and a win over Hathaway could mean another chance to face the top of the division.
Hathaway is likely a bit further away from a title shot, but a highlight-reel win tends to elevate fighters beyond their current standing in the division.
