It's a battle of undefeated bantamweights as Jessamyn Duke will lace 'em up for a 135-pound scrap against Bethe Correia at the upcoming UFC 172 pay-per-view (PPV) event, which takes place inside Maryland's Baltimore Arena on April 26, 2014.
MMA Fighting brought word of the pairing earlier today.
Duke (3-0, 1 NC) cut her teeth on the set of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 18, where she trained under coach Ronda Rousey. While she was unable to make it into the finals of the combat sports reality show, she made the most of her call-back, taking down Peggy Morgan in last November's live finale.
"The Gun" also holds two wins (and one no contest) under the Invicta banner.
Opposing her is Correia (7-0), who is perhaps best known for retiring Julie Kedzie at the UFC Fight Night 33 event back in December. "Pitbull" has a significant edge in experience, wrecking shop on the Brazilian circuit before making the transition to UFC.
But can she compensate for Duke's seven-inch height advantage?
UFC 172 will feature the return of 205-pound champion Jon Jones, as he attempts to defend his light heavyweight strap against Glover Teixeira. "Bones" was last seen turning away Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 165, while Teixeira kept his 29-fight win streak alive by defeating Ryan Bader at UFC Fight Night 28.
