Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will send a pair of struggling lightweights to the cage when Evan Dunham and Mark Bocek square off at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF): "Nations" live finale, which takes place on April 16, 2014 inside Colisée Pepsi in Quebec City, Canada, on FOX Sports 1.
UFC announced the booking earlier today.
Dunham (14-5) was once considered a future title contender at 155 pounds, jumping out to an 11-0 start with big wins over TUF champion Efrain Escudero, as well as longtime contender Tyson Griffin. Unfortunately, he was derailed by a pair of losses and has since fallen to just 3-5.
The Oregonian is coming off consecutive losses to top-10 ranked Rafael dos Anjos and Donald Cerrone.
Also hoping to burst back into the win column is Bocek (11-5), who was also upended by the aforementioned Dos Anjos in late 2012. His loss to the Brazilian snapped a two-fight winning streak and he's been out of action ever since nursing an injury.
Now he's back, but is he better than ever?
TUF: "Nations" finale is rumored to be the home of the much-ballyhooed Michael Bisping vs. Tim Kennedy grudge match, depending on "The Count's" health. One fight that is signed and sealed (and soon to be delivered) is the showdown between season coaches Patrick Cote and Kyle Noke.
