Dong Hyun Kim vs. John Hathaway booked for The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) China Finale on March 1 in Macau

A new welterweight attraction has been added to the growing slate of fights at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) China Finale.

Another bout has been added to The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) China Finale which takes place on March 1, 2014, at The Venetian Macau’s Cotai Arena and streams on the newly launched "Fight Pass" network.

A little more than three years after they were first scheduled to meet, a welterweight scrap featuring John Hathaway vs. Dong Hyun Kim will serve as the five-round main attraction of the TUF: "China" conclusion.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) officials announced the fight earlier this morning, just a day after it was let loose that Ivan Menjivar will take on Hatsu Hioki on the same card.

As was mentioned earlier, these two were supposed to fight back at UFC 120. However, an injury forced Kim to withdraw from the event, creating an opportunity for Mike Pyle to step in and score a victory over Hathaway via decision.

This was the sole defeat on the 26-year-old's mixed martial arts (MMA) 17-1 record but he was inactive for all of 2013. The Brit was expected to face Erick Silva this past June at UFC on FUEL TV 10, but an injury of his own led to his withdrawal from the card, and Jason High (who just underwent emergency appendix surgery) jumped on his spot.

Kim is not the only South Korean with his name in the news this weekend, as UFC Fight Night 34 features Hyun Gyu Lim in the main event.

Fighting inside the Octagon since 2008, "Stun Gun" is riding a three-fight winning streak that includes a stunning "Knockout of the Night" victory over Silva, as well as decisions over Siyar Bahadurzada and Paulo Thiago.

Kim doesn't lose much either. His two defeats came against Carlos Condit and a bizarre injury suffered during a throw against Demian Maia.

The Chinese version of UFC's combat sports reality show is currently airing on Liaoning Satellite TV. Cung Le serves as a Dana White type figure on the program to the featherweight and welterweight show competitors.

Stay tuned for more news and notes on this upcoming fight card in the coming weeks.
