This year's Royal Rumble -- one of the promotion's "Big Four" PPV events -- is anchored by the 30-man over-the-top-rope tournament, which will name the number one contender to the World Heavyweight Championship and effectively kick off the "Road to WrestleMania."

Elsewhere on the card, Randy Orton defends a pair of straps against top babyface John Cena, while former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar tries to get revenge on The Big Show. In addition, one-time MMA fighter Batista returns to the squared circle against former Pride FC fighter Alberto Del Rio.

See, this event does have ties to combat sports!
