Henderson came out aggressive to start the second, looking for a flying knee. He couldn't get it, and they rest in the center of the cage.
It wasn't long before we were treated to more clinch work against the fence. There's nothing thrilling about two guys battling for underhooks and avoiding knees while slipping in an occasional punch or two, but MMA is strategic, damn it, and you'll put up with it.
Actually, you won't, because "Big" John McCarthy is the referee and he saw enough of it to separate the two and put them back in the center.
It didn't last for long, as Thomson moved in quick and snagged yet another takedown. And, once again, he took Henderson's back and locked on the body triangle for the second time. And, like last time, Henderson stood up and Thomson slid back to his feet.
Keep 'em fresh.
"Bendo" used a hard body shot to close the distance and clinch against the cage again. The round ended the same way it started.
