Ok, time for the main card:
|JORGE PATINO||V||LUIS PALOMINO|
|WIN RATE||HEIGHT||5'9"||ODDS||WIN RATE||HEIGHT||5'6"||ODDS|
|FINISH RATE||AGE||40||FINISH RATE||AGE||33|
|LAST FIVE||3||1||1||LAST FIVE||3||2||0|
Patino has be around a long time: He fought Pat Miletich at UFC 18 back in 1999. Since 2011 he is 8-1-1 with his long loss coming to undefeated prospect Carlos Diego Farreira. He actually owns a win over Ronaldo Souza in Jacare's debut. Palomino is 1-2 his is last 3, with his last bout a loss to Efrain Escudero in October. He owns wins over current UFC fighters Jorge Masvidal and Daron Cruickshank. His last two wins are by KO including a 3rd round stoppage of JZ Cavalcante. Patino by decision.
|CODY BOLLINGER||V||TYSON NAM|
|WIN RATE||HEIGHT||5'10"||ODDS||WIN RATE||HEIGHT||5'7"||ODDS|
|FINISH RATE||AGE||22||FINISH RATE||AGE||30|
|LAST FIVE||3||1||1NC||LAST FIVE||4||1||0|
Bollinger is the guy who got kicked off the last TUF for failing to make weight after eating like Anthony Johnson. Because of TUF he only fought once in 2013, winning that bout in March. He's a decent enough prospect but has yet to defeat a high level veteran or blue chip prospect. Tyson Nam hasn't fought since last March himself, losing to surging Marlon Moraes. He's actually only fought twice since 2011, defeating Bellator Bantamweight Champion Eduardo Dantas by knockout at Shooto Brazil 33 in 2012 and his lone bout in 2013. A lot of people are looking at Bollinger because of his TUF exposure but I'm going with the guy who has beaten better fighters than Cody. Nam by decision.
|WOMEN'S STRAWWEIGHT BOUT – WSOF 115 LBS CHAMPIONSHIP|
|JESSICA AGUILAR||V||ALIDA GRAY|
|WIN RATE||HEIGHT||5'3"||ODDS||WIN RATE||HEIGHT||5'4"||ODDS|
|FINISH RATE||AGE||31||FINISH RATE||AGE||36|
|LAST FIVE||5||0||0||LAST FIVE||0||0||0|
Jessica Aguilar belongs in the UFC Strawweight Division but she was scooped up by WSOF before the UFC made their announcement and poached Invicta for most of their top strawweights. She is probably the best 115 lbs female fighter on the planet now that Megumi Fujii has retired. Aguilar actually owns two wins over the Japanese WMMA legend (both are somewhat controversial). Her only loss since late 2009 was a controversial split decision loss to Zoila Gurgel in a Bellator tournament that saw several dubious decisions. Alida Gray is 36 years old and only has 4 pro MMA bouts. However, she was once an Olympic hopeful in Judo and owns one of the best female KO's in recent memory see it here.
This really should be the Co-Main Event seeing how it's for a title. I think Aguilars MMA experience will be too much for the relative rookie, Aguilar by decision.
|LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT BOUT – CO MAIN EVENT|
|ANTHONY JOHNSON||V||MIKE KYLE|
|WIN RATE||HEIGHT||6'1"||ODDS||WIN RATE||HEIGHT||6'3"||ODDS|
|FINISH RATE||AGE||29||FINISH RATE||AGE||33|
|LAST FIVE||5||0||0||LAST FIVE||2||2||1NC|
After missing weight and losing the Vitor Belfort in 2012, Johnson was released and has plied his trade in a handful of promotions including WSOF where his last two bouts have taken place. How Johnson ever made 170 lbs I have no idea, but he seems comfortable at 205 lbs. Kyle is a well known journeymen who has fought in Strikeforce, the UFC, and the WEC. His biggest win is arguably over current UFC fighter Rafael Cavalcante.
Johnson may be a former welterweight but he hits like a truck and Kyle lacks the chin to hold up. Johnson by knockout, round 1.
|LIGHTWEIGHT BOUT – MAIN EVENT – WSOF 155 LBS CHAMPIONSHIP|
|JUSTIN GAETHJE||V||RICHARD PATISHNOCK|
|WIN RATE||HEIGHT||5'11"||ODDS||WIN RATE||HEIGHT||5'9"||ODDS|
|FINISH RATE||AGE||25||FINISH RATE||AGE||26|
|LAST FIVE||5||0||0||LAST FIVE||4||1||0|
Gaethje has looked like a killer in his last few bouts. He possesses some sick leg kicks and deserves to be a -800 favorite to win this Saturday. Patishnock is a replacement of a replacement of a replacement... is that how many times the opponent has been switched? He defeated two Gracies in his last two bouts both under the WSOF banner. He's not a good finisher with only two stoppage victories to his name.
Expect a one sided fight: Gaethje by technical knockout, round 3 via leg kicks.
Enjoy the fights.
