Both T.J. Dillashaw and Mike Easton entered tonight's (Wed., Jan. 15, 2014) UFC Fight Night 35: "Rockhold vs. Philippou" event from the Arena at Gwinnet Center in Duluth, Georgia, on Fox Sports 1 off split decision losses, two in a row in the case of the latter.
Time to get back on the hog.
Straight from the outset it looked clear that Dillashaw had superior striking, grappling, and he wanted it more. He battered "The Hulk" early, and by the middle of the second had opened a cut near Easton's eye. He was relentless in his attack, stayed poised despite the variance in offense offered by his opponent.
You know, like spinning kicks that kept spinning. T.J.'s answer? A knee to the face.
Knowing he needed a finish in the final frame caused Easton to up his offensive output but Dillashaw refused to go into cruise control and maintained his dominance of the bout.
By the time they got to the scorecards, the outcome was clear.
Final scores: 30-27 across the board.
