Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has booked a featherweight rebound fight for Cole Miller, who looks to get back into the win column at the expense of Andy Ogle at the upcoming UFC Fight Night 30 event from the Phones 4U Arena in Manchester, England, on Oct. 26, 2013.
UFC officials announced the contest earlier today.
Miller (19-8) has been consistently inconsistent, pulling even at 5-5 over his last 10 fights. After a first-round submission win over Bart Palaszewski at The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 17 Finale back in April, "Magrinho" was outpointed by former TUF cast mate Manny Gamburyan at UFC Fight Night 26 just last month.
And the competition isn't getting any easier.
Ogle (9-2) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Josh Grispi earlier this year as part of the UFC on FUEL TV 7 event in London, evening his record inside the Octagon at 1-1. "The Little Axe," like his Oct. 26 dance partner, cut his teeth on the combat sports reality show.
What else do they have in common? Neither can afford a loss in today's ultra-competitive landscape.
UFC Fight Night 30, which will air on FOX Sports 2 network on the day of the international mixed marital arts (MMA) event, will feature a middleweight main event between Michael Bisping vs. Mark Munoz, going toe-to-toe with a potential 185-pound title shot on the line for the winner.
That's not all.
Melvin Guillard and Ross Pearson will hook 'em up in the co-featured fight of the night to inch closer to lightweight legitimacy, while Jimi Manuwa will look to keep his perfect professional record (13-0) intact against the hard-hitting Ryan Jimmo.
