UFC Fight Night 28 results: Rafael Natal dominates Tor Troeng to a decision

Rafael Natal pretty much had his way with Tor Troeng en route to a unanimous decision victory at tonight's (Wed., Sept. 4, 2013) UFC Fight Night 28 event in Brazil.

Middleweights Rafael Natal and Tor Troeng took center stage on the main card of tonight's (Wed., Sept. 4, 2013) UFC Fight Night 28: "Teixeira vs. Bader" event broadcast on Fox Sports 1 from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, as the two battled for positioning in the suddenly wide open 185-pound division.

Natal attacked early with hard leg kicks but it was an overhand right that did a number on his opponent, dropping the Swede to the mat and sending him into survival mode.

What ensued was an incredibly entertaining series of sweeps and reversals that saw both fighters exchange superior position while threatening with a look at a submission or two but never actually getting there.

It was a fun first round.

The second round very closely mirrored the first when Natal once again landed a hard shot early that devastated Troeng. Still, somehow he once again survived to reverse position and end up in side control before transitioning to the back. It cannot be understated how impressive it was for Troeng to do this after how hard he seemed to be rocked.

Not to be discouraged, "Sapo" countered out before continuing his ruthless attack. He may not have finished the fight despite two wide open opportunities to do so, but he was undoubtedly up on points heading into the final frame.

Then, in the third, Natal attacked with a guillotine that, if nothing else, kept Troeng at bay. Once he lost it, though, the Swede had top position but it wasn't long before that was reversed into yet another guillotine attempt.

By the time the horn sounded, it was clear who the winner was in this one. Natal swept the scorecards for a unanimous decision victory.
