Breaking News! Anthony Pettis Out Seven Weeks With Knee Sprain

23

UFC President Dana White teased "breaking news" would be revealed tonight on ESPNs "SportsCenter." The announcement? New UFC Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis, who underwent a recent MRI for possible ligament damage in his knee, only suffered a minor sprain. One that seemingly did not hamper him during his championship-winning performance over Ben Henderson this past weekend at UFC 164 (watch video highlights here), and one that will likely be fully healed when he makes his first title defense against T.J. Grant in the near future (more details here). SuperBowl weekend 2014, perhaps?
