The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is trying to blow out the rest of the year by promoting the hell out of its upcoming pay-per-view (PPV) events. The upcoming cards are arguably the best string of events in the promotion's history and its best chance at closing ending a solid year on the highest of highs.
The final PPV of the year, UFC 168, features a rematch between current UFC Middleweight champion, Chris Weidman, and former champ, Anderson Silva, in the main event. They fought Fourth of July weekend at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada at UFC 162.
To help get the word out and make it the biggest event ever, Weidman and Silva have hit the road on what has been dubbed a 'world tour'. The latest stop saw them workout for the public in Miami, Florida. The Miami crowd was clearly there to support Silva, who got a raucous reception.
Weidman, being the New Yorker, received a smattering of applause, even though he worked out with Udonis Haslem of the Miami Heat. What does that tell us? Miami fans are really the worst in sports.
